Announcements for the week of January 22, 2007

Why spend thousands of dollars getting to that exotic fly fishing destination only to find out that your casting skills aren't up to the task. Whether you are a first time caster or working on advanced skills, a private lesson can improve your casting distance, accuracy and reduce the frustration of tangles. Our instructors are experienced in analyzing your casting stroke and coaching you through modifications to your natural style. To take us into the technological age, we now utilize Sage's Casting Analyzer. Similar to a golf swing analyzer, it helps us to graphically show you where improvements to your cast can be made. It will store your profile so you can come back and see how much you've improved. Beginning casters will learn a basic forward cast and roll cast. More experienced casters may learn to shoot line for longer casts, single or double hauls, techniques for countering strong wind, slack line casts or a general tune-up of more basic casting. Rods provided, or bring your own. One hour class for one or two people: $35. Taught by appointment.
