Save the date! The Truchas Chapter of Trout Unlimited's Annual Banquet is on Saturday March 31st. This year; banquet will be at the Scottish Rite Temple (the big pink church downtown) at 463 Paseo de Peralta in Santa Fe. Door's open at 6:00 for cocktails and bidding on auction items with dinner and a featured presentation to follow. The cost is $50.00 per person. This year's featured speaker is April Volkey, a top steelhead guide on the Dean River in British Columbia.

The Fishing Program at Pecos National Historical Park resumes Thursday March 8th. They are already taking reservations for the spring 2012 season at the Park. The first spring season runs from March 8th through April 9th. To take part in thefishing program, you can make advanced reservations for the two beats available per day (six anglers total) either by emailing the park at peco_visitor_information@nps.gov or by calling the reservation line at 505-757-7272. If those spots are filled for the day you seek, you can try showing up at the Visitor Center to see if there are spaces available on the third beat, which has three spots and is always reserved for walk-ins. In order to get a fishing permit at the Park, you must possess a valid New Mexico Department of Game and Fish (NMG&F) fishing license and Habitat Management and Access Validation.

The Bristol Bay Road Show is coming to Santa Fe Tuesday February 7th! Join us for a screening of the award-winning documentary, Red Gold.
